These Keto Dinner Rolls are a great low carb bread alternative to carb-laden dinner rolls. I know first hand how hard it is to be eating your low carb meal with your family and feeling left out. Although you know that this lifestyle change is good for your health, sometimes it’s hard to resist the urge to say no to the sides you used to indulge in. I’ve already posted a Keto Bread Loaf recipe, however, if you’re looking for a different option this may be for you.
These dinner rolls have a mild cheese flavour, it’s obviously because one of the main ingredients is mozzarella cheese. The taste shouldn’t be too strong as mozzarella is a pretty mild cheese, however, if you’re living a dairy-free lifestyle or don’t like cheese, this recipe probably isn’t for you. The best thing about this bread is that you can freeze it for later use. You can make a batch, wait for them to cool completely and throw them in a freezer bag. I tend to eat them later during the week. You can also nuke them in the microwave using the defrost setting and they come out like they’re fresh out of the oven.
Alternative Uses
I’ve adapted the recipe I used to make my Keto Everything Bagels to make these keto dinner rolls and I’m so glad that I did! I now have the perfect side to add to my chicken thighs and veggies for dinner. You could even scale the recipe up and make them keto burger buns. It’s completely up to you. If you do choose to play around with these keto dinner rolls please let me know how it goes!
