Who Am I?
My name is Sarah-Jane, and I’m a 20-something-year-old ketogenic lifestyle blogger. I’ve successfully lost 30lbs using a ketogenic diet, and I’ve decided to commit myself to help others reach their health and fitness goals too. I enjoy recipe testing, eating tasty nutritious food, and have an obsession with elephants. I am of Ghanaian decent, was born in the United Kingdom and now live in the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. I haven’t always been like this though, a few years ago my reality was completely different.
Who I Was
Before keto I used to eat family-sized bags of Doritos, bags of candy, and full liters of pop regularly and looking back at it, I’m floored. Have you calculated the calories and carbs in a large size bag of Doritos? I had always struggled with my physical appearance, ever since the 5th grade when a friend pointed out that I had a bigger belly than her. It was only then that I was aware of the part of my body that would haunt me a good decade later. Ah, the bitter drink of self-awareness. So necessary but so, so scary. You can read more about and my life before keto here.
What Inspired Me to Start This Blog
When I first started out, there wasn’t a large amount of easy to understand information and resources about keto. I knew this blog was something I needed to start. I knew I needed to give back to those who would come after me. People looking for a solution to see changes in their bodies once and for all. I’m writing this blog for me. I’m also writing this blog for you. Whatever experiences I’ve been though I’d love for you to learn from them as well if they can be of any help to you.
Keto doesn’t have to be hard. You can actually have fun with it, learn from your mistakes, and eat good food at the same time.
I hope this blog can be of support and enjoyment for you. And always remember KCKO, Keep Calm and Keto On.
